The 101st edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Gisele Bruno or Bodai from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Residing in the region of Calabria (Italy) at the moment, Bodai was a classical musician at an early age - always influenced by electronic beats and heavy basslines. Having purchased her initial DJing tools in 2013 and moving from musical sheets to computer softwares, Bodai has been persistent in exploring the electronic music world on her own. A dual owner of appreciable imprints, 'AMITABHA' and 'Auditen' - specializing in Deep / Organic House and Progressive House respectively, she also hosts 'Natural' on Frisky Radio and 'Natural Spirits' on Proton Radio, as a part of Proton Radio's curator mix project. Check out Bodai's exclusive 70-minute for our podcast - which begins with Organic House, moving on to a set of Deep House tracks written, sung and produced by herself, and hence ending with driving Progressive House featuring some of her favorites from Juicebox Music in 2022. We're stoked to present episode 100 of Juicebox Radio - celebrating the milestone with a collective comprising Guha Bharadwaj a.k.a. Goos, Russell Muller a.k.a. Murder By Sound and our very own imprint's headman Praveen Achary.
Concluding the 100th episode milestone session, Praveen Achary has been occupied with playing wide-ranged gigs across the cities, including recently having opened for John Digweed in Diablo (Delhi, India), rejuvenating Juicebox Music's label ethos and sound 'PHASE' in Hyderabad and Delhi (India) and more, Praveen returns back on the podcast for round four, closing down episode 100 with yet another exquisite extended mix. Hosting hour two of the session is Russell Muller or Murder By Sound from Dunfermline, Scotland. Russell has been DJing since the '90s - slowly progressing into numerous bars and clubs, and also having been the host and IT Director of the global station 'Beach Radio' where he is the resident every Saturday and Monday nights. We're stoked to present episode 100 of Juicebox Radio - celebrating the milestone with a collective comprising Guha Bharadwaj a.k.a. Goos, Russell Muller a.k.a. Murder By Sound and our very own imprint's headman Praveen Achary.
Born in Doha, Qatar and currently residing in Dubai, Goos was introduced to rock music at an early age by his musically inclined parents. Having had a deep-seated love for percussion instruments, he later discovered his passion for dance music through Eric Prydz, Roger Sanchez and more. Also having hosted his own showcase at the Amsterdam Dance Event in 2018 titled 'Journey on Tour', Goos has been on the decks alongside Denis Horvat, Lane 8, Yotto, Tinlicker, Sebastian Leger to name a few. Hosting a fortnightly podcast called 'Journey' Goos aims to showcase the full range of deep and progressive house with a rotating roster of well-esteemed artists. The 99th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Ognjen Cerović, better known as Hobin Rude from Belgrade, Serbia. It all started for Hobin 6 to 7 years ago, getting introduced to the basics of electronic music from his best friends. His first emergence in the highly intriguing progressive house was seen in 2020 through Jelly For The Babies' imprint 'One Of A Kind'. Hobin's music eventually got issued on The Soundgarden, Movement, Hoomidaas and many more which has led him to receive distinguished support from industry giants such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, etc. Check out his exclusive one hour mix for Juicebox Radio - as he is in charge of the 99th episode of our show. The 98th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Spanish talent - Manuel Rodriguez a.k.a. Not Demure. Born in Argentina and currently based in Balaeric Islands, Not Demure discovered synths and drum machines around his teenage years, hence changing his musical direction forever by combining his love for Ableton and live performances. Having performed a large number of live sets across South America and Europe, he has been seen sharing the decks with Graziano Raffa, Kamilo Sanclemente, Bart Skils to name a few. Not Demure's deep-tied nature towards driving progressive house has landed him releases on Mango Alley, Deepwibe Underground, Movement and many more. The 97th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Randle Galea from the island of Malta. Currently situated in Vittoriosa, Randle was already inspired by his own hometown's underground clubbing scene and started DJing at the age of 17. Having performed at the most renowned clubs on the island, Randle has shared line-ups with DJ Ruby, Guy Mantzur, Tube & Berger, just to name a few. Quite affected by the intricate melodies and harmonies of progressive house, Randle's releases can be seen on Droid9, Another Life, OLD SQL and many more. Randle also runs a podcast entitled 'ABYSS' - featuring some of the best artists and DJs in the deep and progressive space and also 'Shifting Sands' - his own series of monthly mixes deeply rooted in melodies, grooves and an elegantly constructed harmony. The 96th edition of Juicebox Radio welcomes Juan Pablo Buitrago Amaya - better known as Juan Buitrago from Colombia. Born in the city of Ibagué, Colombia and currently situated in Buenos Aires (Argentina), he started to DJ observing his colleagues and friends, and hence felt the need to place his own ideas in composition. Juan's sound pulls off a combination of complex yet expressive and detailed soundscapes, flowing primarily in the progressive house spectrum and captivating listeners on the dance floor. Having managed to drop music on The Soundgarden, Mango Alley, Deepwibe Underground and many more - braced and supported by Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo just to name a few, we're ready for Juan Buitrago to take over this episode of our show with an exclusive 70-minute set. The 95th edition of Juicebox Radio invites Nicolas Benedetti from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Nicolas' desirability to music already began at a very early age - his mother being a guitar teacher and father, a DJ during the '80s. Beginning to produce music in 2018 with the help of guidance provided by well-esteemed progressive house artist Andrea Cassino, Nicolas has delivered his tunes on 3rd Avenue, onedotsixtwo, Balkan Connection just to name a few. Also being featured on Celtic Chaos' Burning Man festival line-up in 2021, we're stoked to have Nicolas Benedetti on our show for an exclusive one hour mix. Enjoy!
